How many faces can a dice have?

Last weekend when I visited my friend’s house, kids over there were playing games using a 8-face dice that looked something like this:

This is first time I saw a dice with more than 6 faces. Now I am curious if a dice can have more than 8 faces? If so what’s the limit?

I have seen a dice with 4 faces and 6 faces only. The other day I read about tesseracts - these are the counterpart of cubes, but in a world of 4 dimensions. So if you tell me a dice can have 10 faces , I’ll believe ya.
