Is it possible for a space shuttle to be hit by a satellite debris as shown in the movie? Is that realistic?

I think it’s possible for any artificial satellite to get hit by space debris. In the movie, weren’t they working on the Hubble telescope?

Yes, Indeed, it can. A junk satellite can hit anything in space. Just that the space is so vast that the chances of that happening are quite low.
