I’ve been captivated by the formations of stalactites and stalagmites in caves. What geological processes are responsible for their growth and unique shapes? I’m curious to understand how these formations develop over time and what factors influence their formation in different cave environments.
Not sure about caves, but shipwrecks underwater also form such formations because of mineral leeching plus growing bacteria colonies. That’s kinda why the Titanic is disappearing too
