My friend’s cat licked my hand and the cat’s tongue was very rough, like sandpaper. What’s the deal with that?

I experienced the same thing with a friend’s cat and then found out that there are tiny structures on a cat’s tongue which are made of keratin (same thing that their claws are made of). These structures help cats eat meaty things (since they’re carnivores). I am sure there are other factors too, in addition to this.

Hmmm…makes sense. So, by that logic, all carnivores should have rough tongues?

By that logic, yes that makes sense
Come to think of it, yes that makes sense. But I know this about only cats
